The PunkNecks with Russ T Nutz, Rocky Cantanese and Greg McGowan

The Empty Glass, 410 Elizabeth Street, Charleston, WV

"If you replaced Mickey and Mallory Knox's guns and knives with guitars and microphones you would have Jason and Polly Punkneck. Instead of literally killing people, though, they are slaying fans across the U.S. with their one-of-a-kind Punkneck music" (Chuck B, Prick Magazine). The Punknecks are a "Rock N Roll love story" (Steve Wildsmith, Daily Times). A musical genre where "Punk makes nice with Country" (Democrat & Chronicle).

After setting a record on Ripley’s Believe It or Not (esp. 316), for flesh suspensions in Las Vegas, Jason Punkneck moved to L.A., and formed The Punknecks (AKA Jason and the Punknecks). Jason formed a big band outside his tattoo shop on Hollywood Blvd, the last addition, Polly Punkneck. They performed all the hotspots in L.A., including Whiskey A GoGo opening for Hank 3. It wasn’t until he decided to start a ‘never-ending’ tour across the USA that really molded their sound, Polly being the only one that followed him. “Jason and Polly Punkneck are a high energy show. They twang to the core, channeling Hank Williams Jr. and Dolly Parton more so than Sid Vicious and Siouxie Sioux” (Erica K. Landau, New Times Florida). They are endorsed by Breedlove Guitars and showcase them at every show, music videos, and on all 5 albums they have released. Their latest release, “Road to Nowhere”, has been licensed to Touchtunes Jukeboxes around the country, also available online at iTunes, CDbaby, and live performances. The Punknecks perform around 200 shows per year in the US alone. They are currently pitching a reality-show trailer filmed by Documanda, whom has worked for Taylor Swift on Documentaries, and numerous docu-reality shows on television. Currently living in a camper, (with their roadie dog Lola) The Punknecks continue to write, record and perform their music to their self-built fan base. They have performed at numerous festivals and are preparing for the Ink N Iron Festival in Nashville TN this summer opening for Wanda Jackson and Merle Haggard.
